I have a 30+ female client who has been wearing analog CICs with normal hearing in the lows and who drops off the audiogram after 1500Hz.  Needless to say, she has not been functioning as well as she could be.  She was fitted recently with very long, Imagine CICs and can now hear her 6-year-old daughter speaking to her from the back seat of the car — something she has never been able to do.  As a matter of fact, she came in the day after her fitting to say that she was hearing too many high frequencies!  To say she is happy would be an understatement.
